Fun! Enjoyment! New friends! Self Defence! Confidence! Safety!

These words only scratch the surface of the priceless experiences students, teachers and instructors enjoyed during Corinda High School's 8th year running, 3 day intensive Self Defence Workshop.

"I am lucky to have a self defence class here at Corinda and have great teachers that are great at teaching and are experienced."

"I have learnt a lot every day it is great fun."

"I feel alot more confident and more informed on what can be done and better ways to react in situations."

"I could really follow the activities... especially that I have ASD and Dyslexia."

"I feel more confident and strong..."

The workshop's content covered many hyperthetical situations planned for this course as well as spontaneous, hyper, students questioned. This largely physical workshop however involved times of group discussions. Students were self motivated to take charge and ensure their own safety with confidence.

"Your talks were very relevant so I found them easy to listen to and didn't lose attention."

"It's hands on - We don't just talk about things, we actually do them."

"The blocking was the most useful part of the lesson for me because I've always seen myself as a victim in situations."

"The most important part of the course was sexual harrasment, bullying, what to do at a job if someone armed with a weapon is demanding something - thank you."

Students, congratulations for your hard work! A special thank-you to the staff at Corinda State High School for scheduling this workshop into your activity week!

Kind Regards,

Instructors of the Self Defence Workshop
Graham Keleher, Bryony Keleher, Ivan Keleher and Maxine Keleher.

"I'll be able to hold my face up high & just walk away."

"I really liked how the instructors were really nice and friendly and willing to help."

"From learning self defence I can protect me and my brothers more from any harm that may come to us."
